Just wondering if the early bird offer for the WA7tp is time limited or will it always be valid for us with the original WA7?

Just got an email from Woo saying they were working on a 1' cable for the power supply should be ready in 2 weeks to order... only wish it was included for early birds or at least shipped together so as not to cost on shipping twice.

How long is the original one?  Without going into power cord voodoo, around 6' is about right.  Also, from a sonic perspective you would not want the ps to be too close (right next to each other) to the main unit because of heat, magnetic fields, vibration and visually looks odd (more so if it is 1' away).  Kind of defeats the advantage of isolation with a separate power supply.

not really... shorter is better. proper shielding is also good.

A bit off topic, curious for anyone who has the LCD-X + WA7. How does it sound ?

I have a WA7 right now and a WA7tp which is on order. Right now I'm borrowing my friends HD800's and really love them but I find that my ears get pretty fatigued after listening for a hour or so which is a shame since the HD800's are so comfy I could wear them all day.

Curious if the LCD-X's are also really enjoyable and maybe aren't so harsh on my ears with extending listening periods? Also excited to hear everyone else impressions of the WA7tp!

In summary, it is a wonderful pairing.

WA7 + LCD-X or XC is a great pairing, I have both.  XC is a bit head heavy after prolonged use though so if you plan to be wearing them all day get the X.
