Modifying the Xiang Sheng 708B [56K!!!!]
Today I actually found the CD that had all the old pics on it and I'm beginning the long process of adding them to my gallery and editing in new links. Even though this is a legacy thread, having it back to 100% will help me sleep a little better at night, lol.- dcheming

Modifying the Xiang Sheng 708B [56K!!!!]
I still have all the original pictures on a CD-ROM in storage somewhere. Someday I'd like to re-upload them to this thread as attachments instead of hosted images. :)- dcheming

Anyone out there riding motorcycles?
I have a Shoei GT Air helmet and my brother bought me a Sena SMH10R bluetooth headset system to go with it. For about a year and a half I used the standard speaker drivers that come with it. They sounded like crap, were harsh, had no bass since they're just free floating and the wind noise is...- dcheming

Powered Speakers for computer office setup, low volume listening (Adam a5x, swan m200mkiii?)
The A3X uses class A/B amplification for the mid-woofer whereas the A5X uses PWM, so this makes sense. Also Stereolink is a super handy feature for sure. It gets used all the time when I take my A5Xs to friends houses. Quote:- dcheming

Modifying the Sonic Impact T-Amp & 41Hz AMP6
Here's the final amp that ended up going out to my friend. It's a simple build using a Hammond cast AL project box, ALPS Blue Velvet pot, Mundorf M-Cap input caps, Connex binding posts, Calrad RCA Jacks, and Neotech PVC wire throughout. And the best thing about this one is that it actually...- dcheming

nikongod, So how did the CCS affect the SQ? In the end which way do you prefer: res/cap bypass, LED, or CCS? Would you mind posting some pics of this latest addition when you get a chance. Cloth Ears, What size uF output caps are you using? I'm wondering how much deep bass I've been...- dcheming

Cheap DIY Computer Speakers
This is the next evolution of the acoustic membrane(Saran Wrap) idea from above. I've been wanting to go all out with this idea and build a significant portion of the sealed enclosure using tightly stretched plastic sheet. In a sense it's now a semi-sealed, open-baffle speaker or...- dcheming
