The TWS + Neckband + BT Cable Adapter Thread
Thanks for the heads up, the Noble K10s are pretty sensitive so hopefully they should work okay. Do you have any other suggestions that work with 2 pin IEMs that aren't insanely expensive?- Rowethren

The TWS + Neckband + BT Cable Adapter Thread
I have been looking at getting a pair of TW adapters for my Noble K10s to replace the Radsone ES100 I am using as a neck clip. Seeing iFi mentioned immediately drew my eye but £399 is a ridiculous price to ask and seems to be around 4 times the price of the competition! I think I will give the...- Rowethren

Selling my Cayin HA-3A Tube Amplifier in black. This is in great condition and comes in the original box with all the original accessories. It is a great sounding amp but does require a decent DAC and power supply to avoid noise as it is a tube amp. The amp comes with the following tubes in...- Rowethren

SJY Audio Starry Night Planar Magnetic Headphone
Thanks, sounds like the SN isn't for me then as I am a bit of a bass lover. I had been considering the XTC² and then getting a Magni/Modi stack to power it. That would just about fit in my budget.- Rowethren

SJY Audio Starry Night Planar Magnetic Headphone
Great impressions on the V2, I don't suppose you have any thoughts on how it compares to the XTC1.5? I am downsizing my setup from my Verite Closed and looking for a whole rig under £1500. The Starry Night is certainly a good fit in the looks front.- Rowethren

ZMF Verite Closed-New Closed Back ZMF Flagship.
Sadly I am going to have to sell my ZMF Verite Closed Blackwood, Cayin HA-3A and Soekris DAC2541 for financial reasons. Does anyone have a good alternative suggested pair of headphones with a similar frequency response to the Verite Closed for under £500? Also if anyone in the UK what's any...- Rowethren

Cayin HA-3A, a Compact 6V6s Transformer-coupled Tube Amplifier

Cayin HA-3A, a Compact 6V6s Transformer-coupled Tube Amplifier
I have been playing around with the Cayin HA-3A with my Verite Closed for a while now and interestingly I have come to the conclusion I prefer the sound on low gain. It seems to tighten up the bass a bit and gives a little bit more sparkle at the top end. I guess even though the high gain...- Rowethren

Soekris Audiophile Line Dac's 2541, 1541, 1421, 1321, 1101
Definitely won't be a problem as the Soekris has separate outputs buffers for XLR and RCA so one does not affect the other.- Rowethren

Soekris Audiophile Line Dac's 2541, 1541, 1421, 1321, 1101
Both outputs are on at the same time. Can you not just turn off the amp you aren't using? This DAC isn't like the Denafrips ones where you can't use both outputs at the same time because the Soekris has a full output stage.- Rowethren

Cayin HA-3A, a Compact 6V6s Transformer-coupled Tube Amplifier
Is Wi-Fi turned on on the R26? I know you said you are using LAN but I found Wi-Fi was really picked up by the HA-3A.- Rowethren

Cayin HA-3A, a Compact 6V6s Transformer-coupled Tube Amplifier
I have to admit I didn't realise the HA-6A only had a 24 step volume control. That really doesn't seem enough considering the power it has. The jumps between steps must be huge.- Rowethren

Cayin HA-3A, a Compact 6V6s Transformer-coupled Tube Amplifier
Honestly I don't know how anyone can use the HA-6A or HA-300 with ZMF/sensitive headphones. With my ZMF VC driven from my HA-3A using the 4.4mm jack the amount of usable volume is only around 60° so I can't imagine how little control you would have with Cayins more powerful amps. Don't get me...- Rowethren

Looks very similar to my setup but with Tungsram E80CC instead of Philips. I haven't touched the rectifier yet, did you notice a difference moving to the Sylvania Black Plate 22DE4?- Rowethren

ZMF Verite Closed-New Closed Back ZMF Flagship.
I'm very happy with the Cayin HA-3A to power my VCs which is the baby brother of the HA-300. It is only around £1500 so it is almost the same price as a pair of Elrog ER300B's on their own . I have found the HA-3A does benefit from some new tubes but they are much more reasonably prices...- Rowethren

Cayin HA-3A, a Compact 6V6s Transformer-coupled Tube Amplifier
Those Valvo E80CC are indeed made by Philips. You can tell because the plates only have two small vents at the top and the bottom. The Tungsram made E80CC have holes in the middle of the plate as well like you can see in the below example:- Rowethren
