The Shenzhen Benjie BJ-T6 / AGPtek Rocker
I didn't play much with Benjie firmware since I instantly switched to Agptek's, so you'll have to find out yourself. I've shared a simple tutorial somewhere in this forum so you can easily make playlists using Windows. A lot more convenience than using T6.- Stormbringer888

BenjieT6 v1.04 firmware download link is actually on first page, which is https://www.dropbox.com/s/4sel0j3p7ve7vpb/update.upt . Last time I check it's still very much available. The GUI isn't exactly sight for sore eyes. If the skip buttons won't work with screen off I think playlist might be a...- Stormbringer888

It should be left as it is as update.upt on root, not inside any folder. Update can be executed using player's update menu. As for how update.upt should be copied is not an issue. I have an otg card reader and I copied the update file from smartphone to my micro sd.- Stormbringer888

I think it's more of the same but you need to refer to spec sheets to confirm. This budget DAPs use pretty much the same chips but different screens, buttons/navigations, designs and of course, the firmware. Just drop by any available forums or reviews. I use drivesort from ...- Stormbringer888

In theory, A35 would be better, given Sony's experience in audio, as well as hardware and firmware wise. Plus, the price reflects they are not in the same league. If DAP is your primary audio source and you are willing to spend 200+ bucks for a player I think A35 is preferable. T6 has rather...- Stormbringer888

If you don't mind sharp edges and corners, I think you should give T6 a go. Regardless the usage, it supports high res music like dsf, flac, alac and also more powerful chip for better sound reproduction and faster library processing.- Stormbringer888

It's implemented to avoid accidental button press. I don't really mind, but others might find it quite irritating. I guess a lock slider should be made available in future products like one on my ipod video.- Stormbringer888

Hi, have anyone tried Benjie's piece? Is it any good, or decent to say the least? I'm looking for this for a runner, but can't trace the availability http://www.benjie-tx.com/wap/BluetoothEarphone/222.html Built in 8 Gb is a selling point. I guess we need to tweak the compression level then. I have embedded artworks goes by 1200x1200 which weren't displayed, however trial and error adjustment to 1000x1000 rewarded me with expected outcome.- Stormbringer888

Correct me if i'm wrong fat32 can handle up to 4gb of single file. I don't think size is the issue. Rodgers in Celtic, right? And please avoid wav if possible, large size and no id tag support. Flac and alac are, imho, preferable in terms of size and manageability.- Stormbringer888
