I just received my Ripper Mk2!! My SP1000Cu is now busy ripping.
I wish the software is a little more intuitive like real plug and play. It took me about 10 minutes to make my SP1000Cu to recognize the ripper.
Anyway, now it's happily ripping!!

Nice!
By any chance do you own also the “old” ripper? I’m wondering if there is an improvement in speed.

I have to say that the original ripper seems to be faster with the sp1000 than the ak380.

I don't have the old one.
Good to know that there is a possible speed advantage with SP1000. Thanks.

We've finished internal testing and are happy to announce official support for the Sandisk 400GB microSD cards for all of Astell&Kern's players!
Great!!
Thank you for your confirmation. I have been using a 400GB card but worried a bit as it was not officially supported.
Now it is official, and I feel much better.

By comparing my Michelle with Michelle Limited, I instantly become addicted to its sound as it is a more refined version of Michelle. My first impression is that it is even more like a dynamic driver IEM! As a BA type IEM, Michelle limited is one of the bass monster. Its bass slams even harder than Michelle. Overall sound signature has become more "solid" than Michelle. Timbres of high, mid and low have a more clearer presentation than Michelle.

After AB test for about half and hour, I finally paid and brought the Michelle Ltd home :)

I'm currently deciding between the Michelle and Michelle Limited. Although the Limited are a bit cheaper I personally feel the design doesn't look as nice. With the gloss black and red metallic logo I actually think the original Michelle IEMs are the best looking from the Astell Kern / JH Audio series.

Astell&Kern told me on Instagram that asides from the design everything else about the Michelle 1st and 2nd gen are identical, sound etc.

The 1st gen have 3D printed shells. The 2nd gen are injection molded shells. Same innards and tuned the same.
