Just rode in a 26 mile ride yesterday, first in my age group. Really just a fun ride but besides all the geared bikes they had electric assist in this one

I'm about to get back on a single speed after over five years.... Gosh getting old is hard sometimes

Folks who get back to single speeds seem very happy with that usually aware choice, so you may enjoy it :)

If you're into bicycle racing, and you want to get ready for this year's Tour de France you have to check out the Netflix series that documents the 2022 Tour. It's great!

I've been keeping track on Tour de France and prior to watching several documents about this race I had no idea how complex and strategic it really is. Highly entertaining stuff and folks like Pogačar have inhuman strength.

The early frames. approx 1988 Good to see still with rigid fork. Mine is a 2005-07 made by his nephew

Good guess on the age, about then, 87-88.

I haven't rode it in 13 years, it's at my Uncles house. But it is too small for me as you can see. Great memories though with it....still fun to tool around on. I see they did away with the internal fame cable routing, that was a bitch, if you got into trouble there, if I remember right? Yes, before shocks existed, front ones anyway.

it could be a pain. I used a converted wire coat hanger to feed through the outer cable attached. here some more pic's over the yrs
