Cowon PLENUE M2 (Current Firmware and Manual Links in 1st post)

What headphones/earphones are you using?  Is the volume control problem consistent with all of them?  I found volume change to be pretty smooth, you have 140 steps, very granular adjustment.  Have you tried turning the headphone mode on/off (in Quick Setting menu) to see if that will make any difference (headphone mode on is for higher impedance cans and gives you power boost, I wouldn't recommend using it with IEMs).

The Cowon P1 has amazing synergy with the ES60. Let me know what you think of the M2 with your ES60. They should be an amazing pair.

How does the M2 compare to the P1? I love my P1 to death.

On the official Cowon's site in the specifications of Plenue M2 it says that there are 66 presets(50 Presets +16 User Presets) .
On my unit I have only 4 user presets, Can somebody who own PM2 can confirm that?

Somewhere in a Settings menu you can specify how many user presets you want to display, from 4 to 16. Very clever so you don't clutter the screen.

Thanks a lot. I just found it. It was under "Gear Icon" > Settings (Wrench Icon) > Display > User Presets. Thanks for saving me the trouble of having to dig through the instruction manual. I am guilty of not having downloaded it by now.

M2 is on Amazon in the USA if you search for it. Price is $649.99 direct from JetAudio (Cowon's US retail distribution).

They list is as the "PM2" which is confusing as heck:

Its Plenue M2, PM2 for short like P1,PM or PD for Plenue D. I think the price will drop to 599usd soon.

Right, I got that, but there's no "Plenue" anywhere in the title of the product page, which makes it hard to find (it's literally near the bottom of the search results when searching for Cowon Plenue M2). Plus Cowon already has a PMP called the M2, which is equally confusing.
