I think, DAC-8PRO2 (Pontus too) has a wider dynamic range and warm pleasure timbres compared to LKS 004. So, Pontus is my current choise.

So, any updates about these great Denafrips dac's? I need to upgrade my dac, I was researching all those usual delta sigma dacs, some very cheap and very god, some expensive and supposed to be good but sound just as digital as the cheap ones (RME, D90... ). But if this Ares sound so much better than an RME at the same or lower price... Much less features for sure, but there are already lot of features in 140$ dacs's, when you pay close to 1000$ for a DAC, it is mostly for the sound really, let's be honest.

Anyone had experience about these Denafrips products in Europe? best source to buy from, warranty, returns, etc... thanks!!!

What would be a cheaper alternative to an Ares II do you guys think? A Schiit Multibit?
