maybe there are some common things with the denons.
There is: Fostex made the D2000, D5000 and D7000 for Denon. Their relationship ended after that so this really has no bearing on the D7200.

Except that the D7200 is literally a Fostex X00 despite them claiming that the relationship ended....There is: Fostex made the D2000, D5000 and D7000 for Denon. Their relationship ended after that so this really has no bearing on the D7200.

The magnet design, the cups, the headband, the placement of the jacks, the impedance...... the sound signature....care to explain more? some evidences would be nice
I mean literally its a X00 headphone in every way you look at it.
Having both TH-X00 and D7200 I can honestly say they are nothing alike

since i don't have d7200 and x00, i can't double check it. could you share the pictures of all that, measurement, technical specification... that would make your argument stronger
1: TH-X00 no jacks on cups (non detachable cable).... D7200 removable cable
2: TH-X00 old style Fostex headband attachment to cups.....D7200 completely different headband and attachment style

aaa there you go. thank you @HungryPanda
maybe if you're willing to open up your cans and help us took a pictures of both headphones driver, we all could settle this argument both headphones literally are the same
when @Jimster480 said its literally the same headphones, i was thought maybe the drivers are the same, it could happen. if i'm not mistaken denon d2000 and d5000 utilize the exact same drivers, so maybe he is up to something here, maybe he got some evidences, that's why i ask him to please explain more

I sold my TH-X00 PH's when I got my D7200's. The D7200's has better, tighter bass, the treble is not a shrill, and the mids has better presence. The TH-X00's are definitely V-Shaped. If I didn't have the D7200's I probably would still have the TH-X00's. Also, I had the Dekoni fenestrated pads on my TH-X00's. TH-X00's sounded much better with these pads on them. But still not as good as the D7200's though.1: TH-X00 no jacks on cups (non detachable cable).... D7200 removable cable

There are like 4 versions of the X00 which all have different signatures due to cups and pads.I sold my TH-X00 PH's when I got my D7200's.
