Yes, i finally got word from a dealer not to far from my home in NJ that they will receive both models on August 10th. Can't wait to go try them. Than more then likely i will be walking out with my 
very own Elear's 

I don't mean to burst your bubble but your dealer will receive 2 demo units on the 17th or close to it. Inventory for sale is in September at the soonest depending on how fast they fill my total order. Audio Labs is a good dealer but the 10th was the original plan had there not been 3 delays. This is just an FYI so that no one gets disappointed from wrong information. It's probably just an mistake they told you that. After you do her your Focals, yo should post your impressions. To the rest of you that are not purchasing from us, be sure you expect a September delivery at best. This is Focal France, giving us the schedule so if your dealer is telling you any other timing, ask them to call FocalNA to get an up to date schedule.

I don't care where you buy them from as long as it's an authorized focal dealer. I am 100% sure about my information because it's coming from the Focal CEO in France. I just received the update this morning from the CEO. Your dealer is going on the original schedule not the current schedule. Again, ask you dealer to contact their local focal rep to get the proper schedule so your expectations are more realistic. Be sure to post your impressions after you get your Focal headphones. If you want your Focal headphones sooner you can contact us and we will be shipping more on the 10th - 12th of August long before other dealers get them. Keep in mind, The Source AV is the Global Focal Flagship. We get everything Focal makes long before any other dealers.

good idea. After he calls his rep you and he will know what's going on with the delays. Even the reps had to return their samples to Focal France

It looks like I might have an opportunity to trade my HD800S for these here in the uk. Early impressions, especially about the bass, seem to fit with my tastes over the HD800S. The 800S are just so good though I can't help thinking this would be a mistake. I'm going to wait for more reviews and measurements to form a better understanding about them first and hopefully I can get to trial them before hand.
I'm not sure if anyone who has listened yet can comment but would these be an upgrade/sidegrade of downgrade to the HD800S?
