 I see there is still misinformation going on out there. No! The first shipment is not sold out. The first shipment has not yet arrived in its entirety. The first shipment goes to us at The Source AV and is several hundred units. We will begin shipping new customers late next week. Old customers that getting theirs replaced will begin receiving them the middle of next week. If you are being told later this month to August it simply means it's really mid to late next month and it also means you haven't purchased them from The Source AV.

Thanks for your explanation. I have no plan to purchase before having a complete impression. There is still no people here share any purchase any impression, i just curious about the quantity of the first launch. So it will take a long time to be available for the people from mainland of China... Exciting!

Just so you can compare to other setups, I'm using a Nordost Heimdall 2 cable to connect the Utopia to one of 2 amps (Moon 430HA or a GSX2). I'm currently using a Directstream DAC fed by the microRendu and Roon.
 
Would love to hear other impressions as well.

I purchased my Utopia from TSAV and they have Heimdall 2 cables for the Utopia. Can only assume that Nordost made some for the Utopia launch...in any event, it does sound great with the headphone.

So far, the GS-X2 has the slight edge for my tastes but that was a surprise to me because I had generally enjoyed the 430HA a bit more before the Utopia. The 430HA has a warmer presentation but I can see using one over the other for different types of music. Both deliver plenty of power for any headphone but the GS-X has what I would call a "cleaner" presentation where the 430HA has more of a lush/smooth presentation with the Utopia.

Thank you for your rather helpful reply. I personally own the GSX MK2 and demo the 430 for a lot of times. And I very much agree with you about the 2 amps regarding their characteristics. 
Now I have a general idea about the sonic approach of the Utopia. Hope it will be available in Australia soon.

They may not show the cable on their site but Nordost and Kimber were the first to be approved for the Utopia and Elear. Just have your local dealer order it with the LEMO connector for the Utopia and 3.5mm slim like the McIntosh uses for the Elear. The Heimdal2 is balanced only of course. The Blue Heaven is the unbalanced version. If your local dealer doesn't get it, call us we have them. If you're at the head-fi meet tomorrow we'll have them at the Focal-Cavalli-MrSpeaker display

In that case when you're ready to add your heimdal2 to your Utopia or Elear just reach out and we'll ship the cables to you. We can't sell you the Focals unless you are in the USA.

Yes there are about 10 sets here. The same in Elear and a few Listen. I'll leave the impressions to the attendees rather than me as a exhibitor
