Damn. I thought the closed-back approach would make the 598's original treble signature a bit more balanced. I am already stuck with my DT 990's treble savviness. Anyway, I wanted a closed Sennheiser but of HD 650 class and of a fun/musical and a lot less analytical headphone and without that 650 veil. Hope this one meets the expectations. HD 598 has less treble than neutral. HD 598 is laidback anyway. It barely has any treble. CS is a bit more than neutral.
