I agree with you Strat, and with Robert Plant to a degree. It is impossible for me to pick a favorite Zeppelin album. who could argue that "Physical Graffiti" wasn't their ultimate tour de force album, and it followed "Led Zeppelin IV" for goodness sake. As with Plant, only my favorite Zeppelin album rather than my favorite song, tends to change every time I think about it. My favorite Zeppelin song, since it came out and most likely for all time, is hands down, "No Quarter." It's the highlight of "Houses Of The Holy," and it was a kick-ass song live...
@DLeeWebb . I know exactly what you mean.:beyersmile:
The UK-based Zeppelin tribute band 'Whole Lotta Led' do a brilliant live version of No Quarter. I have seen them dozens of times.
It usually ends up as a long jam with fantastic guitar playing by Nick Ferris, who is a class act, as are the whole band.
I still listen to all the Zeppelin albums, some more than others.
'In Through the Out Door' is definitely the least played, probably followed by II.
Most listened to are Physical Graffiti, Houses of the Holy and III.
But then there is IV, I, Presence.....
As Robert Plant has also said many times, he is proud of the whole body of work which Zeppelin created, and he has good reason to be!

@whirlwind nailed it ... this album kicks! Thx for the head's up, blues mentor.
Joe will release his next album Royal Tea, recorded at Abbey Road, on October 23.

When you get the song Deacon Blues stuck in your head, the only remedy is
to play the album!

This takes me back to the late 90's, in high school, listening to the U of Toronto campus radio electronica show introducing such 'underground' bands like Autechre, and local stuff like Legion of Green Men:

Nods. I only wish for less clean vocals. Thanks, Taff.
