Moon audio cable is pretty well made... But whether one can tell the sonic difference between a $150 cable and a $350 one is highly subjective

No XLR, i just have the standard cable that came with the HD650 and have read that the silver dragon v3 is a very good replacement.
They are not balanced cans, unless it is the cable which determines if they are balanced. I'm not sure.

The headphone determines if they are balanced. The connector just dictates what piece of equipment you can connect too.

If the headphone wasn't designed to operate in balanced mode, your ROI for "going balanced" will be very, very small. YMMV.

That Dadong happens to be my fav too! Sounds like you are familiar with Beijing. Next time you are here perhaps we can do a mini-meet while eating peking ducks at Dadong lol.

Hello anyone has experienced the following problem with balanced amp card: if I put the gain on high while using the dap single ended, only the right ear is boosted. I do not need the gain but still this is a problem.

Where is your volume at? If it is between the lines then that might be the problem.

Definitely not normal.  Try rotating the volume knob and see if you get channel balance, or would the headphone jack be not securely inserted?  Try rebooting also.  Never had this issue with H/L gain.

Was none of the above but I took out the amp card and put it back in and...problem solved...I feel much better.

Listening to my 1plus2 with silver gold...lovely.

Now what new friend to get for my 901? Fitear 335, 435 or Hidition NT6?

what about some TH900s or LCD3s.... sound great on the balance amp and the discrete amp  :)
