I had always used the "bit perfect" filter believing that it was the most analogue sounding and therefore I thought it was the best... but after an in-depth reading of a review here on head fi I decided to try the filter called Gibbs-Transient -Optimized (GTO). Practically the fif GO bar has reached a whole other level of sound representation. It always remains very analogue, it always keeps excesses at bay in the highs, but it also does many other things... starting with the stage which widens greatly, everything becomes more three-dimensional and ultra-defined, the air at the top between the instruments increases exponentially. Not to mention what it does to the PULA PA02... which now really can rival the best IEMs also in terms of technicality, as well as just for balance and tonality. This ifi GO bar + PULA PA02 pair fears no comparison... they seem made for each other... truly a very high level and I speak absolutely without any comparison. Obviously the credit goes to both products and above all to the incredible synergy that is obtained by using them together... it can represent an excellent end game.
I don't know exact details but there have been reported issues with some iPhone models (14 I think but don't quote me) powering the Go Bar, something to do with current requirements and the limitations of some Lightning iPhones. Seems some cable work when some don't I think including the supplied Lightning to USB-C cable.
I had an iPhone X and had no issues with the supplied cable and now have an iPhone 15 Pro that is obviously USB-C and again have no issues with any USB-C to C cable.
Good to know, if anyone on this thread can comment this way they know which it is and can give you personal advice on the 12.
Take this for what it's worth but if you can "hold out" maybe a bit longer on getting the GO bar, maybe you will be assured that your purchase is the correct one.

iFi does not comment on products' future release dates, even if we could those dates may change without notice, once we make a press release then it is definitive.
That being said if someone asked me today about the GO bar I would answer the same way, take a "few weeks" to gather your info before making a purchase.

A little birdie just told me that those lucky ones attending CanJam NY this weekend "may" just have something new to see at the iFi booth, a little earlier than expected!
