Hello! Happy New Year!
Please tell how soon the bugfix for the new firmware is planned?
Good habit to end the year with a joke! :joy:
There a no (never ever!) dates for an update from Shanling - they (product and software development teams) do what and when they want or not. :deadhorse:
Happy New Year to you - Joker!

Please what issue are you facing with Amazon Music?

- For EQ, this would demand system-wide EQ capabilities which is not something our software team is capable of so far.
- I don't think that could work, this always works for the app itself playing music, not sure how it could be managing such info from 3rd party apps.
- We got this feedback many times over years, so far our software team is considering if it could be done.

Response from our software team:
- They are aware of issues with Qobuz app.
- This is intended change by software team.

Hello. After update to 1.6 firmware, from optical and coaxial output sound is missing when i play hires ("max" resolution) audio files from TIDAL. Analog output is ok. What is the solution? Thx.

The Output on digital ports is limited to 192k/24 Bit - was already answered here by Shanling - Max MQA decoding can enfold up to 768k/32 Bit.
So you need to limit the the output sampling rate in the Settings / Audio menu - see screenshot below - and hope for 24 Bit max.

Okay, thanks your help. Im tested settings, but Dave's Brubeck's Take Five song for example is deaf. And many other song from TIDAL.

Which setting do you recommend? Im tested with 48000 , without sucess.

Im use analog and digital output together, for my stereo system and for my AVR setup.

Sorry for my bad english. I bought this miracle a month ago, which has a lot of problems.

Thank you for your answers..

Hi,
Indeed this has a lot of problems.
Most of those would be solved if Shanling would decide to allow users to install third party software...
But they do not allow that for obscure/silly reasons.
As a result, a device that could be the flagship killer is just dust collector on shelves !

So glad I returned mine within the 15 days I am legally allowed to return a product...

I got the EH3 instead but that comes with it's own problems.

Got a device from another brand : works flawlessly. But did not sound as good :frowning2:

Does it affect all Tidal Max file or only MQA files?

I'm sad because prameters, design , sound , price is very good, but the this wonderfull softwear with eddict player is for kids or for wife with spotify account not for users who like listen hires files.

I think 700€ I didn't want to buy toys for the kids.

Hi, im tested any files, here is a list for example.

Song without problem:

https://tidal.com/browse/track/77685992
https://tidal.com/browse/track/77685993
https://tidal.com/browse/track/4508201

Song without sound:

https://tidal.com/browse/track/2178486
https://tidal.com/browse/track/1786019
https://tidal.com/browse/track/2809488
https://tidal.com/browse/track/1461670
https://tidal.com/browse/track/1783728

All you see on the screen resolution information MAX, or HIGH thats all. Information was missing is FLAC or MQA. (It may be next software bug :) )

Hi,

Thinking exactly the same as you : superb hardware ; decent price ; software not so good (to say the least).

But you probably get some workarounds in case they're needed !

Regards.

@MrFufty: Are all the not working songs with MQA decoding? Did you check on SmartPhone as I show in previous post?

The next issue is with volume adjustment for preamp mode. It is not possible to change it. In Eddict Player and in software showing the setup, I mean it is clearly visible that volume is controled softwarely, but nothing happened physicaly. This was tested on digital out only.
