AEON, MrSpeakers' New Closed Back Planar Magnetic Headphone
Can anyone comment on how the bass on these would be compared to the VModa M-100? I am a bass head and looking for a new headphone to use. I love the deeper bass of the VModa. Thanks- ematthews

Need a little help/suggestions on a full size desktop DAC/AMP
Iphone would be my source if I am using it next to my nightstand. Otherwise I feed it from my Imac in the music room. I have also tried my Parasound Zdac V2 and it just doesn't seem to do much for any of these headphones despite it's specs.- ematthews

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
Thanks Not sure if that's a good or bad thing or it makes no difference. I had an issue with the 3pin connector on my first set. I have heard about issues with the drivers on these. Cross my fingers.- ematthews

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
I just received my new replacement 1770"s. They came in a different carry case. The first ones had an integrated handle and a different material. It was just like the T5P Gen 2 box. The new or replacement set has a square box without handle. Is this an early model? Any info.- ematthews

Beyer DT1770 Shipping with different case ???
I had to send back my DT1770's for a warranty replacement. Sonic Elec could not be a better place to shop with how they handle everything. However, my new replacement had a different case. I think the original one with the indentation for a handle was a little nicer. This one is square with a...- ematthews

The AKG K712 Pro Support and Impressions Thread
I am using the Mojo as well. I haven't found anything better yet. Also just got the K712. Having a little trouble trying to find any difference between these and my Senn HD600 and 650. All three almost sound the same. Mids are the only difference I can see. Acoustic guitar is better on the AKG.- ematthews

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
While the T5P may be a little better, I just prefer the sound of the 1770 more. And I also found the DT1170 fit me just a hair better. Anyways, I saved myself a little money too.- ematthews

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
So I have been comparing these to the T5P Gen 2. I like the DT1770 Better. Here is why. I think they have a cleaner sound. The sound stage is bigger on the T5P but I always feel like I am listing with a HALL EFFECT sound on the T5P... So the T5P are going back and I am keeping the DT1770 Only...- ematthews

The AKG K712 Pro Support and Impressions Thread
So I finally picked up the 712Pro from Amazon. I haven't listened to them yet. Will be comparing them to a few headphones I have at home. Senn HD600 and 650. Beyerdynamic T5P Gen 2 and 1770. All of these are good in their own way. I am looking for better mids than my current stock of headphones.- ematthews

Need a few pointers setting up a desk top system
No no no. No AVR here. Looking for a small desktop system. There are a few our there with dedicated LFE Sub out. You can always use the RCA Out to power a sub as well. I have some extra stuff to use at home, but it's full size Audio components. TEAC makes a few that are a little thin on Power...- ematthews

I've been into HiFi audio for a long time and have a good system in my Den. So I have a fair amount of audio knowledge. Decided to set up a desktop system in my bedroom and need a little help. Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
All true. I am leaning towards liking my AT MSR7's better than my new T5P gen 2 headphones. I just enjoy the music better on the AT. You would think at almost 700 more for the Beyer's you would get a better sound. Maybe better build quality.- ematthews

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
I love my MSR7. Having been looking to upgrade these to have better soundstage and instrument separation. I bought the T5P gen 2 and still like the MSR 7 better. Was looking at the DT1770 thinking maybe they may be what I am looking for. Now that I see this, maybe not. Still searching for the...- ematthews

Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7 Discussion Thread
I will tell you this on the AT. I purchased the Beyer T5P V2 and I almost like the sound signature better on the AT. If they made this exact can with a wider sound stage separate instruments a touch it would be world class to me.- ematthews

Can anyone help with this question
I got the new Beyerdynamic T5p Gen 2 this week. I need a really good closed headphone since I now listen at night time. These are really good but something is missing in the mids or treble. I can't explain it exactly. The mids are just off. Coming off the Audio Tech MSR7. These have a fantastic...- ematthews

Parasound ZDAC 2 REPLACED BY Chord Mojo
Currently running my Beyerdynamic T5Pgen 2 with a Parasound ZDac V2. Looking for a better DAC to get the most out of the headphones. I am being told the Chord MOJO would be ideal. Beyerdynamic T5P Gen 2 with a little more sparkle
So I got the new Beyer T5P gen 2 yesterday. Have about 8 hours on them. These are great however I am still yearning for a little more sparkle on the highs. My current headphone I was using is the Audio Tech MSR7 which have a great top end. Now when I compare the two the AT sound very congested...- ematthews

Need a little help with current and replacement Closed headphones.
Currently own the Audio Technica MSR-7. I really enjoy everything about these phones. My only Con would be the music sounds a little narrow. Or the sound stage is small. I am looking for a closed headphone that will be close to these with a nice low end and a clear almost bright top end. Smooth...- ematthews

Bass on the Audiotechnica ATH MSR7 and NAD VISO
I own the NAD Viso. While its a great headphone I want something a little different and with more bass. Can anyone who has heard both of these phones tell me if the AT has a little more bass impact or is it a little deeper than the NAD? I am reading different things on both. Thanks- ematthews
