Introducing Shanling H2 - Budget Portable DAC/AMP with Built-in Player

and soundstage depth compared to BTR7?
Yeah the oomph was the only discernible difference tbh. They seemed pretty close to each other otherwise. I'd have to do some serious listening to get more differences and at that pricepoint for what it is i'd just take the h2 for the better functionality.

I was thinking on getting the Shanling H2 and take advantage of the card slot along with the Eddict Player to use it as a DAP to go through my music files, but I'm not sure if that is the best bet and if I should rather get a budget DAP like an Hiby R3II for instance...what do you guys think? I really like the looks of the H2 and the way you describe how it sounds!

I would say go for the H2, the card slot works pretty well with Edict Player's SyncLink function.

I would say it really depends on the way you will use it.

Standalone player like our Shanling M1s gives you the advantage of being standalone. So anything can be happening on your phone, you don't even need to have the phone with you.

But H2 will be better as a USB DAC, as Bluetooth receiver (when you will run out of music on your card and will want to stream some Spotify from your phone), alongside the microSD card with control over the bigger screen with Eddict player app.

I have searched the internet and have pretty much come to the conclusion that the answer is no, but since there is no explicit mention of it, I am going to ask here.
Does it have a microphone like the fiio btr series?
Does the 3.5mm jack support a mic input?
Since this is an entry level model, the inclusion of mic one way or another would have made an already versatile device more versatile.

No microphone and no support for in-line microphone.

Thanks, no one is gonna call me anyway. So I think I would be fine.
usually you will find microphones on smaller bt dongle dac/amps but not so much on beefier ones. it might as well be a question of the dac chip if it features it like some ess chips do.

Hi, thank you for watching my video. I am not really an audiophile, and for my ear, Shanling H2 has zero background noise, Sony A105 sometimes still has some background noise especially when using with WiFi ON.

Other than those, not much complaints on Shanling H2, so far I use it most of the time. The only complaint is I hope they can integrate EQ in the future firmware upgrade.
Well, it's not the end of the world, isn't it? For Windows, there's "Equalizer APO" and for Android, there's, UAAP.

Hello. I bought my unit at a Lazada online seller which did not carry the leather case unfortunately and so I went to the Shanling website to order the said item. Before I pull the trigger, do you ship to the Philippines?
You need to ask the shop that at shop@shanling.com

Also, do not buy at the sketchy guys at Lazada(always check if they are official dealer).
