Decided to go with the lian li. Much bigger than I thought it'd be. Very nice case flows air real nice.

Still trying to figure out why its not booting if I add two more ram sticks though.

Is it supported on QVL list for supported rams?

You did read the MQL list for supported rams?
Yeah it's supported.

Works with 2 of them, ugh i think i might have a bad ram stick.

Gotta test them all individually...

Hmm. Latest BIOS?

Yep did that.

Updated all of the drivers.

Weird, it won't boot even into the bios with 4 dimms installed. Its fine with two though.

What CPU are you using? What is the speed of the RAM?
If it's and AM5, and your RAM is DDR5 above 5400, then yeah four DIMMs might not work.
I have 2x DDR5/6000 and it barely works right.

Its an i9-14900k, 4x 16gb ddr5 6000 ram.

Is there some kind of limitation with that speed ram?

oh my 6000😅😅

Just disable eveything regarding ram and tweak to lwer latency instead.

Much better system stability.

Atleast run them at the supported speed recommended on Intels specs.

Forget tweaking memory it ain’t worth it, waste of time, time, time, money and latency/speed….and lots of heat…

Edit: I just looked at the spec

Holy moly it supports 5600Mhz in DDR5!

Up to? - but what are the safest/stable speed?

Yeah thats the bundle that I got.

I think its the cas latency, its quite poor for that ram. Can't even OC it, its already maxxed out.

I guess I'll have to return the additional dimms and settle for 32gb for now.
Are 4 dimms supported? That bundle has 2. QVL for my mobo lets you know how many sets are supported.

I would try other memory to see if it starts.

@dougms3 if it is dual channel and not a quad CPU. Best practice keep it dual

thats my speed even though it supports 3200Mhz. Never had better stability and better responds.

When manufacture release ram, the chip have the actual speed. That speed is always best, unless you get one of those sweet samsungs at 3200Mhz where its stock speed and no XMP/Weirdo profile....

Ram overclock is cool if you like numbers in synthetic benchmarks. In real world the actual speed always wins overall no matter what application.

Lol not doing that because it's a bundle.

Defeats the purpose of the bundle. If i get different ran is no longer worth it.

I'm more familiar with AMD am4 platform. Never had issues with it. I guess it's also because the i9 14900 and 1700 lga are much newer, probably gonna be at least a year or so for the Mobo manufactures to update the bios with a wider range of RAM support.

NM, you said 2 dimms work. I thought you had issue with even 2 sticks, in whicb I'd swap rams if I had spares around. check if 4 dimms supported on QVL.

I have a set of dual ranks that is supported my my mobo if I go 4 sticks. depends on memory controller

I believe dual ranks typically get supported for 4 dimms

You don't use XMP? I would try the XMP and run stability

You are missing out on the shorter CAS latency and the higher clock
