Has anyone bought Snake Oil cables or have any experience with them good or bad? I know the whole cable thing can get out of hand but I'm just curious about them in particular. Thanks. 😁
I have a set of their shorty XLR cables. They are good. No problems with them.

I bought their Krait XLR cables. Very nicely made with excellent connectors. Would definitely buy again.

This is the very reason I have so many headphones. Rotating through them is like hearing them for the first time. Variety is the spice of life.
Ironically, headphones is the one thing that I don't really rotate much anymore. My daily driver, a pair of DCA Noirs, sounds just too perfect (to my ears) to not be used literally all the freaking time.
Yes, even with Folkvangr, thanks to Jason's frankly ingenious idea of including the impedance multiplier circuit.

(PCB space permitting, can we get one of those in a future Valhalla 3 as well, please?)

Yes.

In short:
Snake Oil's Taipan RCA and XLR are the only interconnects I use or recommend.

And Hart Audio for headphone cables.

Great thanks! I'm going to get some rca cables and have them make me a digital coaxial cable.

Normally I would find that kind of comment oddly specific. Then again, last week I followed a Lufthansa crew through customs so the comment makes sense to me.
You made me look. Oktoberfest on a plane? That would be fun.

If they look cool to you then they look cool to you. I tend to think that if you think you hear a difference you are more than likely feeling one.
Nothing wrong with that. I went "balanced" cables with two of my headphones because the cables look really cool. Does it sound better? Nope. But I feel better.

I’ve got the snake oil balanced cables and bought a mini link for my BIL and he’s had no complaints with it. The balanced cables are good quality cables. You can’t go wrong with snake oil or Blue Jeans cables, both are excellent.

In ein Regal stellen... <g>
You know what, sir? You're absolutely right; I should simply write all my future posts here in German. Because that'll definitely trigger absolutely no one. 🤪

(Ironically, over the years my written English has gotten better than my written German… 😬)

Yes, that was intentional. Why do you ask? It's not exactly light or compact by any stretch of the imagination, especially not when compared to most other headphone amps.

(…types I while sitting at a desk that has on it an Yggy OG with a Folkvangr on top of that… 😬)
Bad timing. Reading this after just muscling the 75 lb Jota amp back into its box. Lopsided weight with the ginormous transformers on one edge doesn't help. Folkvangr is like going on vacation in comparison.

Just add a TL;DR in English and we'll be good. 🤣 🤣
