Thanks for sharing- great shots and the Bocote looks awesome.

Yeah, I really dig that Bocote. Limba (Gibson guitars calls it Korina) is also a nice looking wood.

I liked what I heard in Chicago. If the tuning has been further improved (warmed up?) and bass improved as I read from the SoCal thread, then I've gone from "yeah I'll prob get one" to I'm actually excited to get my grubby mitts on em.
That being said I would never take my VC (or an AC nor Atticus) in public as people would still definitely hear what I was listening to, esp as those headphones need volume to get the true potential out of the drivers. So I'm curious how OTHER people think these things "perform" when I'm listening to them. Worst case scenario I give them to family out of principle because they like closed backs but I hate the sound of the Sennheiser 598 Cs they use :)

These might be great for travel too, especially considering how sensitive they are so they can work with multiple sources. I wouldn't personally use wooden headphones in public, but for longer train rides etc I can see the appeal.

Apparently, it's pronounced "bo-ka" like Boca Raton. News to me too and I maybe should already know this.

Pretty sure it SHOULD be pronounced "Bo-Kay"

Zach & Bev both pronounced it "Boca" at CanJam.

It's their headphone so they can pronounce it anyway they want, doesn't mean it's correct in the traditional way.
Every film instructor I had, from the USA or foreign pronounced it with a "kuh" at the end, but I learned this weekend that the correct pronunciation is with "Kay" at the end.

So anyways - I certainly think it a tomato / tomahto situation and I love you all 🍅😢💋

As an amateur photographer, everyone in the US and outside pronounces it Bo-Kay. Not that it really matters, the name is cool and I heard on the TSAV video why you chose it fittingly.

I think it depends... no hard or fast rules. I use the Bokuh pronunciation (illustrator / photographer) because Bokay sounds too much like how you'd pronounce "bouquet" of flowers.... which doesn't compute to me when I'm talking about out of focus areas of an image🤣 easily confused :L3000:
