Audeze LCD-X
Thanks for the suggestion, I will check it out. Indeed these are like my end game. I've not tried many headphones, so there's nothing much that I can say and I always wonder how can a reviewer write up such complex review for sound as if it is some kind of mystical art. I'm not sure if it...- CalvinXC

Audeze LCD-X
Well, I just came back from the audio store and here are my findings for the 2 hours I was there. We don't have many audiophile oriented shop here (my country), because the market is just too small and this is one of the better if not the best store around. I requested to audition the Elear and...- CalvinXC

Audeze LCD-X
Thanks for your input, I just got a reply from the shop that the LCD-X and a few other headphones are available for audition. :) Definitely will add in a aftermarket cable down the road but I guess it will take quite a while for me to be able to afford a decent one. Wow, those are some serious...- CalvinXC

Audeze LCD-X
Hi guys, I know this question is quite weird but can the LCD-X match all the new toys "performance" wise? I may have a chance to grab a pair in the near future. Been reading about them for a really long time and always wanted to try one but have no guts to walk into a store for audition because...- CalvinXC

Hifiman IEM's: RE-400 and RE-600
Anyone know how to open up the housing of a Re400? Someone mentioned that btg audio refused to mod the 400 as the driver is too fragile. Mine is still working fine, but I wanted to swap out that annoying cable, it makes tons of noise rubbing against the shirt, and wearing it over the ear didn't...- CalvinXC

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
The length of the cable that you want to make times 4 (6ft x 4). It will lose a few inches in length after braid. You can add a foot or two if you're uncertain.- CalvinXC

OMG, that is really long !! Try sending him another email, not with the "contact us" on his page but with your own email. Or even try contact him on FB. My order is shipped. For your case is way longer then the 8-12 weeks term. Really sorry to hear that.- CalvinXC

NEW! iBasso D-Zero Mk2
Had this amp for well over a week, I'm impressed with how this little beast performs at this little price. Some SE846 user said it is dead silent, but I have different experience over here, I have a pair of SE535LTD, which doesn't play well with many amps/DAP, partially to blame is the...- CalvinXC

NEW! iBasso D-Zero Mk2
It says take digital signal from iPhone or iPad with CCK. Anyone got their idevice working on it? Will the lightning to mirousb adapter works the same as CCK, the CCK is just too long. Edit : After searching around, I've read that the CCK and the adapter works differently, so it won't work. An...- CalvinXC

Headstage Arrow HE: Reviews, Impressions, Perceptions & Sensations
Anywhere close to dead silence on 846? I don't have enough friends to test out my gears and stuff, some of just can't even differentiate lossless and radio quality. But my ears are super sensitive to those noise, I can get a headache out of it if it's loud. You might think that's crazy, I can...- CalvinXC

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
I think you can find some Ortofon tips to use with the K10U, but I got no idea it will fit or not, coz I don't own a K10. Control unit is available with Double Helix Cable, but it is a one button one remote/mic without volume control, Many will say the control unit will degrade the sound...- CalvinXC

The Cayin C5 portable power house.
Sent my C5 back to dealer, dealer checked with various IEMs and told me the amp got no problem with hissing, clearly he don't have something like 846 or other very high sensitivity IEMs, But he do have to help me fix the crack in between both the 3.5mm jack, and he is still dealing about it...- CalvinXC

Headstage Arrow HE: Reviews, Impressions, Perceptions & Sensations
Is the 5N compatible with some IEMs that have super high sensitivity? I don't want any hiss, someone told Cayin C5 have super clean background, still audible hiss with my SE535ltd. Anyone? If it got no hiss with 846, it shouldn't be a problem with the 535. Can the DAC section decode 24bit?- CalvinXC
