I think - based on this review that I have the best of both worlds then with the K9 ESS and K7 & PL50 PSU, this quenches my potential annoyance of backing the wrong horse

Edit: another way I’m covered is with the M11 Plus LTD - balanced line out into the K9 ESS, thank you for neutering my FOMO.

Yes god to know you have one. Looking at some companies schedule and how many new audio products came these months - i believe there are big row of products for you to get to know with . Don't know yet.
But anyway I don't find the K11 too thick and organic. This is happening with M15S and Q15.

tl;dr - Most fun and musical sounding FiiO desktop device so far. Can't stop listening for three hours now.
