I think I broke my DT770/80's
I wouldn't bet any money but I'd say its the hair. I have had this happen numerous times... with my koss ksc-35 and Beyer 770 - all of a sudden pretty loud distortion in one of the phones. Just take off the pads and remove any hair.- sgraphics

Amplifying 250 ohm headphones
There is a Xenos 3HA on sale at the 'For sale' forum. I found this at the Xenos homepage 'The amplifier has two modes of operation, low and high power delivering up to 485mW or 755mW RMS per channel into 32 ohm impedance.' So, would it power my 250 ohm phones. I wouldn't want to buy...- sgraphics

Amplifying 250 ohm headphones
Ouch! I just received pocketamp v2 from Gary + bought an adapter for it (because it had the US type adapter). At high volumes there is much distortion. And at the same volumes I get no distortion from my Audiophile USB. I emailed Gary, he suggested charging the batteries for 12 h. Thats...- sgraphics

Amplifying 250 ohm headphones
Ok, I now understand that i was talking gibberish, cuz RCA doesn't have any amplification. Please recommend me the best value amplifyer for the dt-770 250 ohm. The cheaper, the better. Would be great if was both battery and electric powered. But battery isn't that imporant.- sgraphics

Amplifying 250 ohm headphones
I just received a pair of DT-770's! Happy, joy. The thing is, I dont have any headphone amps. First I tried with my laptop soundcard.. very bad. Was a bit dissapointed. Then I tried with SoundBlaster Live!, that had settings set to 2 speakers.. sounded like above.. I had mixed feelings...- sgraphics

NEW BEYER REFRESH TOO! 990, 880, 770!
I think you could do the engraving yourself, after you bought them. But the different color accessories is where its really at. I like the default colour the best so its all good. Although a black Beyer with a 'Darth Beyer' engraving is also tempting- sgraphics

NEW BEYER REFRESH TOO! 990, 880, 770!
I ordered the 2006 version of the DT770 from a local internet store. They said their german warehouse should have it in 1-4 weeks, then it has to get here etc. The waiting game begins.- sgraphics

NEW BEYER REFRESH TOO! 990, 880, 770!
So has anyone here tried the 32 ohm version of the dt770 yet? Another question: how well would the 250 ohm version run out of M-Audio Audiophile USB's headphone port? I know its not the ideal source but is it enough?- sgraphics

Sennheiser PX100 or AKG K 26P?
IMO px100 don't sound great at all. Bass is so loud and other ranges are really weak and dull.- sgraphics

Should I get some HD201s?
IMHO HD201 phones suck so bad. My friend just bought a pair. Compared to hd202 they are lifeless and thin. Puny, bad bass. This is my oppionion but I would avoid them.- sgraphics

Uh oh, KSC-35's falling apart!!
Mine fell apart. The clip on one of them got really loose, and came off often. Then I lost it. I really miss them.- sgraphics
