You've probably done this already... you could try taking the cables tight under your chin or backwards over your neck and using the pinch to fix them there. I've found that makes the cable hitting my shirt or jacket less noisy when walking. I suspect with such a light earpiece the cables are...- Fatmangolf

Audeze LCD-2 Orthos
Has anyone written up notes on dismantling the LCD-2's for cleaning and oiling? I guess that the notes would include: removing each headphone from the headband optionally removing the leather earpads oiling and polishing the wodoen shells moisturising the leather pads (and strap if...- Fatmangolf

If in the UK I would contact Hifi Sound, Simon and Jane are the UK dealers for Audeze. Honest clear and very knowledgable advice and passionate about sound quality like any hifi dealer should be. Excellent collection of second hand hifi, especially record players and a substantial record...- Fatmangolf

Audeze LCD-2 Orthos
It is matter of personal taste. I know what I like but everyone else is entitled to their own opinion! I like the balance of the bass, middle, and treble in the LCD-2's. It's like listening to full range hifi speakers in the midfield, i.e. 2 or 3 metres away (but with even better sound...- Fatmangolf

On second thoughts, perhaps this wasn't such a good idea. I fear there would be a multi-page debate on the impact of the new material on the LCD-2 treble! Quote:- Fatmangolf

Yes, that is a great looking headphone system. And a very good photo, leesure. I wonder how it would look with a wooden knob that matched the LCD-2's? Quote: +1- Fatmangolf

Audeze LCD-2 Orthos
Yes you can providing you check the amp can handle this and then make up a reliable cable. Do this a t your own risk. If in doubt use its headphone socket or get a proper headphone amp. The speaker amp must be able to feed into the much lower load of 50 Ohms rather than the normal 8 or...- Fatmangolf

Audeze LCD-2 Orthos
My March 2011 LCD-2's still sound excellent. On another forum I drew the analogy with listening to a ribbon mic - deep bass, natural midrange and mellow top end. I love the sound of the classic LCD-2's. If Audeze have made an even better version, very good for them and everyone who buys a...- Fatmangolf

Covering up the cheap looking foam with leather for another one hundred dollars plus shipping, you've got to admire their nerve! DIY solution anyone? Should point out that I love my LCD-2's, even with the cheap looking foam on the headband. Quote:- Fatmangolf

The LCD-2's are less sensitive than conventional magnetic headphones. I am running my LCD-2's from a Graham Slee Solo Ultra Linear (approx 120mW into 50 Ohms) and happy with the sound levels. Sounds great, really great. (I just saw the "Wall" emoticon on VE and am still laughing. It has...- Fatmangolf

DIY cable for LCD-2's
My headphone amp is just too far away from the sofa to get by with the stock 8 foot cable. I made up a basic extension lead about 3 metres or 10 feet long. In the spirit of DIY I decided to try making a braided cable, using the plugs I had already bought. I used some TP (twisted pair)...- Fatmangolf
