You could be right as I searched for more pictures and found some of the crews hang it with the solid ends while some don't. Not mandatory, for sure.

I would say less mid bass and thinner mid-range.

The main reason is I prefer the Final Be to the Focal Be. The A8000 sounds more transparent and less colored than the Utopia.

Just to note that Final has begun selling the stock earpads for both D8000 and the Pro on their domestic webshop. Still doesn't know if global dealers would provide this service in the future. Anyway this could be a way that creates a synergy between the two versions.

From what I've read throughout this thread these cans seem to be out of stock occasionally. Maybe the IERs have a higher production priority (just a random guess)
