I went from the HD558, to the HD600, to the HD800S... back to the HD6xx! Sometimes better isn't actually better, for me and my average ears the HD600 and HD6xx sounded 90% as good as the HD800, plus they are lighter and more comfortable! There are times I miss the supreme comfort of my HD558...

Bifrost 2 definitely! It has the new "Autonomy" design where the whole usb and dac circuit boards can be removed and swapped out, plus a sd card slot for firmware upgrades, definitely more future-proof.

Is the filter in use for all bitrates, or do we have to set the Bifrost 2 to 16/44.1 in order to get the benefits of the filter?
